Introduction to Web Authoring

If If you want to create a website for your library but don't know how, this is the class for you! In this hands-on workshop, participants will learn how to create a Web site from scratch. Instruction covers handcoding in HTML, the role of HTML editors, and web design. Students will be able to create a Web page for professional use by the end of the workshop. Ms. Benjes also teaches a class on usability studies of websites. Seating is limited, register early!

Objectives:
  1. Understand the importance of mind mapping
  2. Learn HTML code
  3. Understand the usefulness and limitations of HTML editors
  4. Understand Web design principles
