Cedars-Sinai Medical Center Library is accepting applications for the position of Senior Medical Librarian for Public Services<\/p>\n
Summary of Essential Job Duties:<\/p>\n
\u2022\tExpert subject knowledge appropriate to medicine, healthcare, and information technology,
\n\u2022\tStrong service orientation, and excellent analytic and problem-solving skills,
\n\u2022\tDemonstrated proficiency and capabilities with personal computers and software, the Web, and library relevant information technology applications,
\n\u2022\tDemonstrated ability to plan, coordinate and manage projects,
\n\u2022\tUnderstanding of appropriate, cost-effective technology for data\/information collection,
\n\u2022\tDemonstrated ability to work effectively in a production oriented environment and to adjust workflow to service needs,
\n\u2022\tDemonstrated ability to work creatively, collaboratively and effectively as both a team member and independently to promote teamwork among colleagues,
\n\u2022\tInsight and knowledge for adding value to the results of research,
\n\u2022\tOutstanding oral and written communication skills,
\n\u2022\tExcellent teaching and presentation skills,
\n\u2022\tDemonstrated ability to supervise professionals and non-professionals,<\/p>\n
Educational Requirements:<\/p>\n
Master\u2019s Degree in Library\/Information Sciences from an ALA accredited institution and a minimum of 5 years of professional experience, or a comparable level of education and experience.<\/p>\n
Experience:<\/p>\n
Minimum of 5 years of increasingly complex experience in a medical library environment.<\/p>\n
