A Symposium on Emerging Roles in Libraries will be held at the Ecotrust Building in Portland on Friday, October 12, 2012.\u00a0 It will include a variety of speakers, including Stephen Bell, president of the Association of College and Research Libraries (ACRL) , and Jerry Perry, past president of the Medical Library Association (MLA).\u00a0 Topics included will be e-science, distance education, the electronic medical record, data management, and content management.<\/p>\n
