Please join us for the Fall Continuing Education (CE) event “Exploiting Librarian Skills to Enhance Continuing Medical Education Programs” in conjunction with the 13th Annual Conference for CME Professionals presented by Southern California Medical Education Council (SCMEC) & MLGSCA in Los Angeles, California.<\/p>\n

The event will take place at the Good Samaritan Hospital<\/a> (Moseley-Salvatori Auditorium) on November 20, 2009.\u00c2\u00a0 Register <\/strong>here<\/strong><\/a> by November 12.<\/strong>\u00c2\u00a0 Registration costs $40 for MLGSCA members and $50 for non-members.\u00c2\u00a0 MLA participants will receive 3 MLA contact hours.\u00c2\u00a0 Parking is $5 with validation sticker (provided at the program) for the Lucas Ave lot (across from the conference center).<\/p>\n

Librarians are seeking new avenues to provide value to their organizations. Continuing education is an area in which librarian skills can make a significant improvement in quality while expanding the influence of librarians in their institutions. This course will identify and describe activities that will improve the quality of continuing medical education activities in their organization. This course will provide concrete ideas concerning new technologies which enhance learning.<\/p>\n

Instructors will be Kaiser Permanente Medical Center librarians Ysabel Bertolucci, MLS, AHIP, Eve Melton, MLS, Zoe Pettway-Unno, MLS, Sara Pimental, MLS, and Mary White, MLS.<\/p>\n
