The award was established in 1987 and first awarded in 1988, with a contribution by Ballen Booksellers International, Inc. The recipient receives an engraved medal, a certificate, and a $1,000 cash award.<\/p>\n<p>If you want to nominate a deserving colleague, please go to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mlanet.org\/about\/awards-and-honors\" target=\"_blank\">https:\/\/www.mlanet.org\/about\/awards-and-honors<\/a> for more information and online nomination forms.
