MLGSCA Fall CE Arizona Session

The Fall Continuing Education (CE) event “Exploiting Librarian Skills to Enhance Continuing Medical Education Programs” will take place at the Mayo Clinic in Scottsdale, Arizona on October 26, 2009.  Instructor Ysabel Bertolucci, MLS, AHIP will be joined by additional Kaiser Permanente Medical Center librarians.

Librarians are seeking new avenues to provide value to their organizations. Continuing education is an area in which librarian skills can make a significant improvement in quality while expanding the influence of librarians in their institutions. This course will identify and describe activities that will improve the quality of continuing medical education activities in their organization. This course will provide concrete ideas concerning new technologies which enhance learning.

Registration is limited to 20 persons, and costs $40 for MLGSCA members and $50 for non-members.  MLA participants will receive 3 MLA contact hours.  Register here for the Arizona course.

Schedule for the Day:
9:30-10 a.m.: Registration
10-10:55 a.m.: Section I and Group Activity
11-11:55 a.m.: Section 2 and Small Group Activity
12-1 p.m.: Lunch
1-1:55 p.m.: Section 3 and Group Activity
2-2:15 p.m.: Wrap-up
