MLA Fellow and Honorary Member nominations

Posted on October 3, 2014 by Kelli Hines | Comments Off on MLA Fellow and Honorary Member nominations

Nominations for MLA Fellow and Honorary Member are due by November 1, 2014!

Throughout its history MLA has recognized individuals who have made outstanding contributions to the advancement of the purposes for which the Association stands by conferring a special membership status. “Honorary Member” was the term used until 1976, when a distinction was then made between MLA members and non-members who made contributions.

Fellows:

Fellows are Regular MLA Members who are elected by the Board of Directors for sustained and outstanding contributions to health sciences librarianship and to the advancement of the purposes of MLA.  Fellows may use the initials “FMLA” following their names.

Honorary Members:

Honorary Members are individuals who are not Regular MLA Members and who are elected by the Board of Directors for their outstanding contributions to the advancement of the purposes of MLA.

Complete information and nomination forms may be found at:  https://www.mlanet.org/about/awards-and-honors

Nominations are due to MLA Headquarters by November 1st.  Please consider nominating a colleague for one of these honorable distinctions!
